Biological Dynamics is developing Lab-on-a-Chip technology aimed at rapid cancer screening from plasma samples, and label-less isolation of nucleic acids without use of organic solvents, selective recovery from solid matrices, or magnetic beads.With Biological Dynamics from the start, my responsibilities included the development of a variety of QC assays for plasma/serum cell free DNA integrity, DNA quantification in pre-processed PCR inhibitory clinical samples (serum), tumor marker assays (KRAS mutants), and pre-clinical research comparing the performance of BD's Biochip to alternative diagnostic technologies for cancer diagnostics and sample preparation (ie, direct DNA recovery from plasma).
