An accountant by trade, I am not your typical restaurateur. I took over Sono in Brisbane City in 2005 and after making vast improvements it quickly grew to be a contender in Brisbane’s competitive Asian dining space. I soon expanded and in 2007 welcomed a new Sono flagship location at Hamilton’s Portside Wharf, incorporating a contemporary feel while paying homage to its traditional roots. I then wished to gain more understanding of the casual dining space, as I believe that after the GFC, the public were finding fine dining too expensive to enjoy every day. Also in an age where healthy eating is paramount, people are looking for healthier dining than the current fast food establishments could offer. Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen was hatched in 2014.Motto Motto has grown to see over ten locations across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sydney. We plan to grow our Sydney offering, and expand to Melbourne shortly. We are also expanding our franchise network, and support our franchisees with marketing, administration, accounts, and operational support from our head office in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.During COVID-19 I developed Kyoto at Home ready to cook meals. Using only the finest ingredients, these beautifully packaged meals are restaurant quality in the comfort of your own home. After a successful launch we are expanding to be stocked in supermarkets, with all our products selling via the Kyoto at Home website, then shipping nationwide from our state of the art production kitchen in Brisbane.I am proud to have recently launched my newest venture, Kitchen Daddy (KD). KD is a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility, boasting the finest European equipment as well as a Safe Quality Food Certification, the highest GSFI standard available to food manufacturing. KD supports our brands Motto Motto and Kyoto at Home, as well as providing contract manufacturing to major Australian supermarkets. My network of brands covers all areas of food supply, from fine dining and casual dining, to eating at home and supermarket shops.
