I am responsible for the construction of all of the sets for every production that the theater puts on. I oversee a crew of volunteers and work closely with our scenic designer and props manager to build sets for 12-15 productions per year, seen by thousands of patrons. I am also responsible for much of the building maintenance and upkeep, along with providing IT support for our staff.

I have been with Tire Rack throughout their growth from advertising solely in magazines, to becoming a hugely successful internet and e-commerce business with over 2.2 million square feet of distribution center space, and an unmatched reputation for quality and service. I oversee a Macintosh network that has grown from 10 to nearly 200 users. Provide technical support and service to those users in a friendly and timely fashion, focusing on maintaining a positive and productive relationship between the users and the IT department. Design and maintain file servers and backup systems. Select, purchase, set up and install Mac OS hardware and software. Work with Windows IT and Help Desk to integrate Mac OS and Windows systems in a mixed network environment. iOS setup and support for phones and tablets. Sole technical support representative for www.tirerack.com and www.tirerackwholesale.com for many years.

As an IT Business Analyst, I tested highly complex AS400 backend systems and m-Power applications for all aspects of Tire Rack's business. Worked with our programmers and users to make sure that critical projects work properly, and fit the needs of the users, while improving usability and efficiency. Requires the ability to be able to effectively communicate with two very different groups, and make sure that both sides have the information and tools that they need for success.

Created and maintained the PitStop wheel viewing software, which at the time was the only program of its kind in the industry. Transformed this program from a hardcoded list of about 200 cars to a dynamic, data-driven CD-ROM and web-based app that contained tens of thousands of Make, Model, Year combinations, with monthly image, data, and feature updates. Designed and built the interface and created all of the images used in the PitStop program. Designed print advertising, including producing a monthly catalog for wholesale customers. Created quarterly progress presentations for our Business Development group to present to OE manufacturers such as Acura, Honda, Subaru, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, smart, Lotus, Mitsubishi and others.

Sun Ringlé manufactures bicycle wheels, hubs, rims and accessories. They are now owned by Hayes Bicycle Group.A wide range of responsibilities, including customer service, distributor sales, marketing, advertising design and layout, website design, catalog design, bicycle mechanical support, team sponsorship support. Designed print advertising, trade show booths, press releases, brand labeling, promotional and marketing materials, price sheets, and corporate business cards. I was brought onto the team at Sun Metal in an effort to take their Sun Rims bicycle wheel division to greater prominence and success. In three years, we accomplished much, increasing sales, and gaining prestige for the brand by creating superior products and signing deals with leading bicycle manufactures and world-class riders.

A public relations and mechanical support program run by Trek Bicycles. Responsible for a full size van stocked with bicycles, wheels, helmets, shoes, and a complete selection of parts and accessories. Traveled around the country as a full-time brand ambassador. Providing mechanical support, loaning out equipment, and sending out test rides at hundreds of consumer cycling events. Travelled about 40,000 miles every eight months, attending 25-30 events in a season. Gave presentations about Trek to large and small groups. Required extensive technical knowledge, expert mechanical ability, strong interpersonal and marketing skills, and a friendly “always on the clock” attitude. Worked almost entirely on my own, with no direct supervision.

Supervised and trained sales and mechanic staff of fifteen employees. Designed displays, signage, and company identity items. Customer sales and support, and bicycle repair. Bicycle Garage was voted into the Bicycle Dealer Showcase “Top 100 Dealers” list twice (1987 & 1990). In 1990, was voted “The Best Bicycle Shop in Bloomington” (from a market of six shops) by the readers of the Bloomington Herald Times newspaper. 1990 was the only year the survey was held.

Beyond our Control was a Junior Achievement sponsored television company, which aired a 30-minute sketch comedy show on a local NBC affiliate between 1967 and 1986. The show was written, produced, acted, and directed by area high school students. The students ran all aspects of the company, including selling advertising time, and running the company's books. There were generally about 30-35 students in the company, and they were supervised by 2-4 adult advisors. Students came into the company via a rigorous audition process, and had to re-apply for every fall and summer session. Past membership was not a guarantee of continued participation. In my four years in the company, I participated in all aspects of television production, including writing, acting, directing, technical directing, audio production, camera operation, film and video editing, film developing, graphic design, sales, and more. Working in the company helped to solidify my core beliefs of the benefits of teamwork and working towards a common goal, along with problem-solving skills, and working within time and budget constraints. It was a formative opportunity, and I maintain close friendships from that time to this day.
