Having recently entered the workforce, following a one-year stint at Holiday Extras as a placement student, I am currently developing my skills as a full-time Software Engineer at the company. This builds upon my strong educational foundation in tech, having studied Computer Science all the way from GCSE to degree level, achieving a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours.My core competencies as a Software Engineer lie in front-end development, and I am experienced in the use of technologies such as React, Relay, Redux and TypeScript to build industry-leading websites and user experiences. My knowledge in this area has been bolstered by an ability to work effectively within a team, having worked closely with non-technical colleagues such as designers and call centre staff on a variety of projects.I am committed to continuous learning during my time at Holiday Extras, and am eager to deepen my existing skill set as a front-end engineer, while also broadening my horizons to become better versed in the intricacies of back-end development. Currently, our team is actively leveraging AI to boost the customer experience, placing us at the cutting edge of new developments in tech.
