In 2016, Bill transitioned from macro social work practice to micro, direct practice as a clinical mental health therapist. Bill is now an independently licensed therapist in private practice, and also provides mental health services on behalf of a local child welfare agency, primarily with students in CMSD schools. Recent professional development includes EMDRIA-approved training in EMDR through EMDR Consulting (www.emdrconsulting.com), and training in the AF-CBT model with Dr. David Kolko and Dr. Barbara Baumann at the University of Pittsburgh (www.afcbt.org). Bill’s clients include children, young adults, families, seniors and couples. Bill’s compassion and non-judgmental approach put his clients at ease.2015 - Until recently, Bill was the Liberal Arts and Legal Programs Director at Bryant & Stratton College's Cleveland Downtown campus. He possesses a diverse background in formal and informal education in Israel and in the US, and has worked with students and group participants ranging in age from 2 years old to 85 years old. Bill has been a Teacher, Family Educator, Administrator and congregational Director of Education, supervising award-winning youth programs, developing innovative learning structures, and has been deeply engaged in supervision and professional development for teachers, youth workers, and family educators. Bill has earned a BA in Education and English Literature (Hebrew University) and Master's degree in Social Work (University of Michigan). His additional graduate-level work has included doctoral level studies in Social Work at the Ohio State University, a certificate in graduate studies of Sociology from Bay Path University, as well as Judaic studies, the investigation of Teaching and Learning through MTEI (the Mandel Teacher Educators Institute, Cohort IV), and Jewish Family Education.
