Served as independent director on Greenfields International (GFI, TSX-V) Board of Directors. GFI was a publicly-traded independent E&P company listed on the TSX-V exchange in Canada. GFI's assets and operations were located outside of North America, principally in Indonesia and Thailand. Independent director role involved a variety of regular and special governance and strategic leadership roles, including serving as one of the leads on the special committee in 2008 which was formed to seek strategic alternatives. Also served as Chair of the Reserves Committee. GFI was merged into Salamander Energy, a London-based publicly traded E&P company, in March 2008.

Served as expatriate petroleum engineer and staff supervisor in UTP's Karachi, Pakistan operations division. Primary focus was UTP's Badin Concession Area in Lower Sindh Province, which included dozens of individual fields, both producing and under development. Performed reservoir and production engineering technical work across a variety of hydrocarbon regimes (oil, gas, NGLs) and geologic play types (water drive, depletion drive, etc.).

Staff reservoir and production engineer with assignments to Exxon's Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) and Permian Basin divisions. Responsibilities included remedial well work program analysis and recommendations, waterflood and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) surveillance and management and an array of planning and commercial roles. Additionally, served in both offshore and office based operations coordination and management roles associated with the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup project in Prince William Sound, Alaska (May 1989-Nov 1990).
