Provide credit card transactional services to 80+ university departments. Services include PCI DSS guidance, establishing merchant accounts, processing refunds and chargebacks, Transact system administration, and terminal hardware purchase and support. Evaluation of third part system and service applications. Advise UF senior leadership on PCI DSS requirements and e-commerce.

Manages, administers, and supports all IT related hardware and software. Provides multiple departments with technical knowledge and expertise allowing them to make better decisions related to security and exhibit presentations. Performs routine inspections of all security infrastructure and works with UF Physical Plant Division and UF Computer Networking Services to improve physical and logical security systems. Monitors trends and developments in IT including mobile communication technologies. Coordinates the development and implementation of long-term plans, goals and objectives to achieve University technology priorities.

Provided security management, development services, end user support and problem resolution for department SharePoint 2010 site collection, UF Online Undergraduate Catalog, HP Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system, HP Quality Center and HP LoadRunner. Worked with multiple departments to plan, launch, maintain, improve and upgrade services provided by these applications. Prior roles enjoyed at UF were Systems Administrator and PeopleSoft Change Control Analyst. As Systems Administrator, primarily administered Microsoft products (Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, Exchange 2003, SharePoint 2003 and Windows XP) and researched, purchased, installed, tracked and maintained hardware, software, and licenses. As a PeopleSoft Change Control Analyst, reviewed and promoted changes to UF’s PeopleSoft system through multiple stages of quality assurance evaluations including production. In addition, applied service packs and updates to the PeopleSoft systems.

LearnIT Corporation was a privately owned software development company in Gainesville, Florida, that created training for Microsoft products. During my tenure at LearnIT the staff grew from approximately 20 to about 60 employees. Managed the day-to-day support of the network, servers, desktops, and phone systems from purchase to disposal. Main accomplishments: recommended and executed a Windows 2000 upgrade for the servers and desktops; recommended and executed replacement of the public TCP/IP scheme with a private scheme; researched, purchased, installed a managed firewall solution. Supervised contractors that installed phone, power, and network infrastructure. Migrated a single-server NT 4.0 domain into a multi-server, redundant system running Windows 2000 Server. Designed, created, and implemented an on-line purchase order system. Researched, purchased, installed, tracked and maintained hardware, software and related licenses for which I designed, created, and implemented an asset tracking and maintenance database using Microsoft Access.

Started working for e-Builder in Gainesville, Florida, shortly after it was founded and at that time it was called MP Interactive. Created proposals, plans, schedules, and budgets for web site development projects. Supervised a development staff of seven and recruited new talent as needed. Interacted daily with clients discussing timelines, project plans, technical issues, and occasionally sold additional services or products.
