Bill has taken on a new role at Quantum Computing Inc., as Chief Operations and Technology leader (COO / CTO). QCI is a new, innovative quantum SW solutions company in located in Virginia and provides agnostic software and quantum algorithms that a compatible with the state of the art quantum computers today as well as providing an onramp for classical systems to make the jump to quantum without the need for deep domain knowledge or experience A major initiative is to drive a customer-focused business strategy through a lens for innovative technology solutions and seek strategic partnerships to create a seamless path to Quantum Evolution and to solve some of the world's greatest challenges in health, large scale logistics and sensor optimization. Prior to this, Bill served as the CTO at Leidos Security and Detection, where he lead a team focused on the design and development of state-of-the-art security detections systems for aviation, ports and borders and commercial infrastructure markets.Bill has a long track record and deep domain expertise numerous areas of technology development and has held many professional roles, since 1990. - 1990 to 2002: Co-founder and Research and Development Director of Ion Track Instruments- 2002 to 2010: Chief Technology Officer for GE Security, following the acquisition of Ion Track- 2010 to 2012: Vice President of Engineering, UTC Global Fire and Security business- 2012 to 2017: CEO of Implant Sciences- 2017 to 2019: CTO at L3Harris Technologies - Security and Detection Systems- 2019 to 2021: CTO at Leidos, Security, Detection and Automation- 2022 to present: COO / CTO Quantum Computing Inc.Bill's business development focus is strengthened by an underlying passion for turning credible science into practical technology.
