Career in banking stretching back to Aug 83 and across 38+ yrs. Traditional banking route in starting off in branch banking and progressing through to Branch Manager , in a number of locations. In Summer 1997 moved across to Commercial Lending and have held a number of roles across the Commercial Banking and Risk functions , including Senior Manager, Specialised Business Services, Credit Executive, Business Credit and currently Commercial Executive in the Business Risk and Advisory Team. Left Virgin Money at the beginning of June 2022 and ,following a planned break ,commenced new role as Investment Executive at UMi Debt Finance in September 2023. Strong written and oral communicator together with lots of experience in negotiations. Present position involves supporting Relationship Managers ,and borrowing customers, in ensuring that they have the necessary funding and strategies in place to meet their future objectives. Strong emphasis in current role around the early identification of risk and ensuring that relevant strategies are in place to address business causes of decline. Away from work enjoy all sport , keeping fit , keen golfer and season ticket holder at Glasgow Warriors, Rugby Union club
