ISS (Information Security Services) Security Liaison for DHS (Department of Health Services) CARES system. My position works with both the Business, IT and our Vendors to ensure security is reviewed, implemented, monitored, within the CARES ecosystem. My position provides the following security services to the business:- Ensure security controls are implemented per PPSG's to meet state, federal and DHS requirements. This includes, NIST, HIPAA, LAB, NACHA, PCI-DSS and other internal compliance requirements that reflect our ATC. - Manage projects or operations- Provide/ build and review business requirements for projects/ services/ application.- Review scan results and reports and ensure progress on remediation are in scope per requirements.- Update/ add compliance documentation such as POAMs, ATC, SSP and ISA documentation.- Attend CABs to review/ approve changes to systems and change management processes.- Provide updates and status reports to the business in reference to projects, changes and operations. - Review/ approve changes to applications, projects and operations prior to implementation through security project reviews. - Provide security recommendations/ requirements for applications in development, ensuring PHI/ PII, security controls are considered and implemented. - Third party assessors/ LAB auditors: Work and coordinate with third party auditors, the business and vendors to provide artifacts, interviews and reviews of results . Provide follow up with the business of results, next steps and the continuation of ATC connections.- Work/ coordinate with internal working groups to build security requirement for other systems/ applications or services for other divisions, vendors outside of my ecosystem.- Major achievement: Created a Security Project Life Cycle process. Created a POAM dashboard and Life Cycle.

As a contract worker, under DXC and the DHS (Department of Health Services), my duties as a BA was updating and testing the Voice Response (STAT PA, WiCall and WAVR) in regards to drug lists, voice response call flows and documentation. My duties entails adding, removing, suspending information or data, updating call flow documents, creating test cases and creating and validating COs according to the SDLC. Other Duties include running and creating weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for the state in regards to call flows, drug usage, errors or other additional requirements. I also obtain directives and functional requirements by interpreting and translating their needs according to drug changes, restrictions and system changes.
