My name is William Russell and I am an Auburn University sophomore majoring in Psychology. One of the things I am most passionate about is trying to help develop treatments for mental disorders and diseases. This is why I am pursuing a career in clinical psychology, in hopes of studying and developing treatments for PTSD, substance abuse, and other mental disorders. As research is my passion I have already gained experience with a research internship at the Center for Lung Biology funded by the American Heart Association. I am also working to join a clinical psychology lab here at Auburn in order to gain experience in psychological research. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel and can learn any data analysis software I need for a research position. I am driven and hard-working so my time in any lab would not be wasted.
