I spent 25 years at AIG, where I led various companies and operations through change, growth, and restructuring.As SVP - Delivery and Operations, I led the development, buildout, and ongoing management of shared services delivery centers covering 8,000+ positions globally for underwriting and underwriting support, claims management, finance, human resources, procurement and vendor management, and IT support in the Philippines; Malaysia; Alpharetta, GA; Olathe, KS; Amarillo, TX; Bogota, Colombia; Sofia, Bulgaria; Vilnius, Lithuania; Guangzhou, China; and Japan. We integrated 1,500+ functional business processes into our shared service operating centers, generating efficiency/productivity of 40% in less than three years and delivered five-year savings of $450MM with an exit run rate in excess of $500MM/year.

I led Chartis International's (AIG’s international property and casualty division) underwriting and claims operations, supporting 100+ countries with 5,500+ EEs and a $300MM budget while maintaining stability in operations through a complex and volatile business environment.

We restructured AIG American General/Employee Benefits Solutions (AIG’s group life, dental, and accident and health division) operations, executing a large-scale outsourcing initiative to improve service while cutting operational expenses by 30%. We also created best-in-class disability management (STD/LTD) and FMLA management services which reduced claim costs by 20% and improved the loss ratio by 10%.

directDME (an HDi sister company) had $20MM annualized revenue providing durable medical equipment to the workers’ compensation industry. We identified a new market opportunity for HDi to expand its services and capabilities while leveraging core competencies and capabilities of the organization. We pioneered the workers’ compensation managed care industry’s first “managed DME” product, which redefined the financial and service model for suppliers and insurance companies. The company attained profitability in its second year and achieved profit margins three times the industry average.

(HDi), is an AIG managed care company providing disability management services to carriers, TPAs, and employers for workers’ compensation, long-term disability, and short-term disability industries.I led and drove the development of strategy and capabilities to service AIG’s workers’ compensation and disability customers with market-leading managed care services generating $50MM in revenue. We introduced and marketed four business lines in four years: a full spectrum of workers’ compensation managed care services, total absence management, FMLA administration, and short-term/long-term disability claims management.
