I started my career as a professional musician in an original rock band. Now I lead business development, product strategy/management and strategic partnerships, including strategic business and corporate development projects and functions in companies from $100M to $5B+ in revenue. I focus on difficult, often greenfield, problems, and bridge internal and external stakeholders and partners to drive organic and inorganic growth, lead end-to-end M&A, create new products and strategic relationships, and negotiate agreements. I’ve spent the past eight years in cloud and 5G networking and infrastructure, datacenter and wireless monitoring, AI/ML for AIOps/monitoring and anomaly detection, CI/CD dev/test automation, and security, and have extensive experience in computing, high-performance processors, video processing, streaming audio and video, and consumer electronics.In these roles I’ve led product development, strategic partnerships, championed and led programs to create new products, drive marketing campaigns from website and white papers to organizing trade show stands, led acquisitions of public and private companies in the US and Europe from concept to integration, and led strategic market opportunity analysis, establishing executive relationships in those sectors and creating candidate pipelines.I started my career after music in R&D, and then R&D management, designing high-performance RISC CPUs (I also graduated with Honors in EE, where I designed a delay pedal for my senior project), and after b-school, created a successful new $30M product line as a product line manager, before moving into more strategic roles in audio, video, and low-power wireless technology for consumer electronics and automotive applications. Mostly, I’m intensely curious and enjoy leading complex projects to create new things, both from the perspective of working with diverse teams as well as the technology and products themselves.
