- Managed IT Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering team. Also responsible for operationalizing all new technologies- Develop next generation IT Operating Model - enabling self-service to IT- 2019/2020 - Acting as lead architect on the following projects in support of CenturyLink’s Digital Transformation Corporate Initiative: -- High Density Data Center project - responsible for selecting the next-generation compute, network, storage platforms; and their integration into automation stack. Goal is to move from 3-tier to spine-leaf network design, high-density commodity compute, and all flash storage to support a BlueGreen automated application deployment model. -- Multi-Cloud Management Tool Selection project - managed team in evaluating several products that life-cycle manage workloads into multiple cloud infrastructures. Morpheus was selected because of its Dev-Ops focus and large cloud support. This tool will integrate with existing tool suites and custom API Framework to enable workload portability between on-prem and cloud infrastructures. -- AI Ops Tool Selection project - managed team in evaluating several products to support quick problem identification and resolution. Big Panda was selected because of its ease of setup and the power of the event correlation engine. -- Network Redesign project - managed team of network architects and engineers to redesign the corporate data center networks to support the High Density Data Center Project (above) in support of the CenturyLink’s larger digital transformation corporate wide initiative.

- Responsible for the corporate UNIX environment. Set standards for hardware platforms, OS versions, OS configuration, and system security policies.- Designed, deployed, and managed a highly scalable server management and automation infrastructure using open source technologies and internally developed code. This infrastructure replaced a failing commercial offering and saved the company $10M in software licensing fees. This infrastructure allowed a 12 member SA team to manage over 11,000 nodes running a mix of Linux, Solaris, AIX and HPUX. Infrastructure provided the following capabilities: -- Ability to run scripts and commands across all managed nodes. -- Ability to centrally manage user accounts and sudo privileges. -- Automated patching. -- Automated server builds. -- Automated configuration management. -- Automated software deployment. -- System and software inventory. -- System auditing and reporting.- Used above infrastructure to in source 4800 systems managed by a 3rd party vendor. Automated processes removed vendor’s access, deployed company admin accounts and installed required management, monitoring and backup software. Successful completion of project saved company $35M annually.- Developed IT Big Data Strategy - Goal is to create Big Data as a service for internal customers, deployed Hadoop- Developing next generation IT Operating Model - enabling self-service to IT- Provide quarterly progress updates on IT Infrastructure Architecture projects to CTO- Planned and participated in 4 data center consolidations between 2016 - 2019
