Leading the development of the pipeline of energy efficiency technology innovation opportunities.

My work, managing Carbon Trust's Low Carbon Building Accelerators, has provided unique insight into the challenges and opportunities of developing and deploying low carbon technologies in both refurbishments and new buildings. The outcomes of this project are now driving effective take-up of innovative low carbon building technologies and approaches as well as shaping the innovation policy agenda for buildings with industry and government.

Developed BAS' sustainable energy strategy, undertook technology feasibility studies, managed and implemented energy reduction and technology trial projects.

Managed a team of four specialists in the area of sustainable and low energy buildings that generated over $1 million in fees in eighteen months. The role included leading the development of energy andenvironmental consulting services to the building sector including generation of proposals, financial management of team and successful delivery of project outcomes to time, budget and quality. Alsoassisted development and roll out this service offer across various regions in Australia and internationally.

Supplied energy and environmental advice, including: setting energy targets, energy modelling, producing renewable energy options reports for a wide range of projects. Projects included school, high riseresidential and large institutional buildings worth over $2 billion.Assisted with the development of Greenstar, a building environmental rating system for Australia based on the successful UK BREEAM scheme. This included assisting with the development of environmentalcredit criteria appropriate to the Australian context.Designed innovative natural ventilation system for a secondary school.

Assisted with the development, management and application of tools and strategies to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy technologies in commercial buildings.Provided advice and information on energy efficient commercial building design and operation tomajor developers, architectural practices and engineering consultancies.Conducted extensive research on low-energy buildings, design techniques and building technologiesand compiled a library of information, including case studies of energy efficient buildings.
