Current Bio:Bill Jones is Head of Enterprise Capital Modeling and ALM for USAA, a diversified member focused company in San Antonio Texas. In this role he staffed the team and oversaw the development of the company’s capital model, which encompasses the P&C and Life insurers, the bank, the asset management company and the pension plan. Additionally, the capital model was leveraged to develop the capital requirement framework which influences strategic and operational planning and is part of the board scored evaluation of the performance of the company. The model has also been used for evaluating reinsurance decisions, revising asset allocations, setting underwriting profit targets and risk reporting and risk limits. Bill also heads the Enterprise ALM team responsible for monitoring, measuring and managing interest rate risk and balance sheet risk at the Enterprise. He chairs the Corporate Asset Liability Management Committee (CALM), which oversees the insurance, credit, financial and tax risks of the Enterprise and is a member of the Enterprise Model Risk Management Committee and the P&C Financial Strength Committee. Previously Bill held various roles in pricing, reserving, planning and data/systems functions.Bill is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
