A lot of people usually assume that being a lifeguard is a summer job with little to no useful job skills. Being in the aquatics industry for 12 years and a manager/instructor for 8 years has taught me many skills. Some of those skills include being a first-responder, ability to work in a team, building a team, leading others, giving great customer service, and creating new programs.I have been described as a motivated leader always willing to lend a helping hand to my team. They have also described me as determined, focused, and a quick learner. I have had experiences in training and managing up to 45 staff members at one time and this has also helped me gain experience in public speaking and instructing.In my spare time I love to travel, read a good book, or just spend time with friends and family. Seeing the world has always been a dream of mine and I am looking forward to traveling more in the future.
