Systems and Infrastructure Architect, WINSTON PLYWOOD Architected framework, delivered agile and generally agnostic data warehouse for business analysis. Ongoing tasks include adding more data marts requiring a full set of skills from interfacing with solution providers, users and development staff. The distinguishing points of our warehouse include the clear line separating persistence and presentment; the ability of a data mart to automatically adapt to allow for substantial schema changes in the production database, and to automatically apply user labels to any or all data objects or columns. Our open / agnostic points are more pedestrian, We don't have to have a BI person on staff as our users are empowered to look at anything (for which they have access) and construct reports using previously unknown data points. However the need for reports at startup has caused us to bring a BI person into construct reports while I concentrate on bringing new systems no matter how incompatible into our data warehouse.Designed, delivered and supported complete IT infrastructure in a new facility after old one was destroyed by tornado. Agile networking capabilities and computing infrastructure were key elements.Incidentally this was a transfer within the parent company of Wood Resources but now (as of 12/2016) has been my primary focus with occasional requests from the corporate offices.

Empowering our users at four manufacturing facilities to meet business objectives in a variety of roles; Consultant, Architect, Technician, etc. depending upon the business requirements presented. At times a significant amount of travel has been required in this position.Technologies used: Vmware, vsphere (5.5/6.0), Java, MSSQL, Active Directory, Typical Networking design and troubleshooting (i.e. TCP/IP, DNS, Packet Sniffing, Layer 2 & 3 troubleshooting, routers, etc.). Windows system administration, Exchange, Storage Management, SAN (both iSCSI, and FC) design, support and troubleshooting of heterogeneous storage architecture, DR, etc.Significant projects:Managing IT infrastructure/systems during 2004 acquisition of two facilities on the East Coast; divesting the same businesses in 2013. Also in 2012-13 starting up a idled facility in Omak, WA with all the required IT processes / tasks and its subsequent sale in 2016.On April 28, 2014 one of our manufacturing facilities was leveled by a tornado in Louisville, MS.Although not having responsibility for that facility I was part of a team within our investment tasked with our next chapter. In 2015 I was made part of the team responsible for bringing this facility back to life. My role was the end-to-end design and ultimately the delivery of the the IT infrastructure for the entire facility. This included adherence to the Homeland Security articles on safe computing and the ability to run a business on any number of cloud providers as well as on-premise computing to deliver a agile, reliable and low-cost solution that scales extremely well. All was delivered ahead of schedule and within budget.
