My name is Will Russell, and I am an accounting major at IU. I am involved with an on-campus orchestra as an outlet for one of my passions - music. I’m from the Cincinnati area, and along with a strong work ethic, I was able to learn much about teamwork and leadership playing in orchestras. As the principal cellist, I oversaw a group of celli where I had to make sure everyone was prepared for the music we would play. I am proud of how I was able to develop my intellectual and emotional skills during this time. When choosing a university to attend, I knew that I needed a school that would fit music needs as well as academic needs, so IU was an obvious choice. Accounting was not my first choice as a major, but once I began to learn about it, I began to see myself studying it. During college, I hope to learn as much as I can to set myself up for success. Currently, I am working for Silreal, a medical consultancy based in Berlin, Germany, where I am working as a consulting intern.
