Consumer Products • Coached and developed new leadership in the Kellogg’s cereal plant at Springs, South Africa. Led a team that spent 2 years in analysis and implementation of lean principles, developing leadership, working with front line operations and provided in excess of $4.5 MM USD in savings. Worked in a multi-cultural environment racked by decades of apartheid, bringing disparate groups together as a team. Developed material and training around ambiguous situations to guide and coach new leaders. The project was awarded the 2010 Kellogg Global Value Award.• Led a team at Kellogg Zanesville, Ohio, frozen food plant to analyze and implement lean manufacturing processes that contributed over $3.5 MM USD in savings. • Led a team in the scoping and analysis of an industry leading food processor in Arcadia, Wisconsin, to assist them in becoming world class. The analysis identified their strengths that could be utilized to develop other areas of opportunity in eliminating waste at all levels and bringing lean tools and thinking to the front line management and operations. Heavy Truck Assembly• Directed a team that developed and implemented critical control points in the assembly process at Mack Truck in Macungie, Pennsylvania. Provided training, coaching and data utilization to identify and quickly contain quality assembly issues. Private Equity• Provided operational due diligence for a private equity firm’s proposed acquisition of a chemical company to be incorporated into an existing portfolio company; identified $25 - $33MM in upside potential synergies. • Provided operational due diligence for a private equity firm’s proposed expansion of an acquisition into new, competitive markets. Provided competitive analysis of supply chain and logistics operational capabilities.

• Responsible for IE Planning in 11 operating districts. Included training and development of district industrial engineers, managing the development of an annual $1 Billion business plan, analysis of 2,500 feeder network schedules, project management, production and service metrics development and analysis. • Examples of customer/client interaction includes the integration of the largest carpet manufacturer into the UPS network that included 189 pickup locations in the U.S., along with working with the client to enhance their logistics processes to eliminate 15% of their shipping expenses • Provided asset management controls and support for the power unit and trailer fleet that included the analysis and purchase of several thousand units annually in support of both the package and feeder networks in the Southeast Region.

• Operations roles included the management of both on-road delivery and inside sorting operations that included management of supervision and Teamster represented hourly employees. These operations were managed with tightly aligned measurement standards and productivity goals, all of which were met. • The industrial engineering positions included relocation to Georgia to provide the leadership in rebuilding an engineering department following a major realignment. We were tasked with recruiting, hiring, training and developing new I.E. graduates in work measurement, operating plan development, and operations improvement.
