I am a scientist who understands the importance of data and analytics, having worked in the highly regulated world of Financial Services with a parallel academic career. I have a passion for climate and environmental science and the practical application of these in real-world situations, driving business towards SDGs and considering ESG within their operational planning. I have delivered my research at 13 international conferences, covering wide-ranging topics such as population density estimates, statistical modelling, and quantitative analysis of fossil coral distributions, all within the context of palaeontology, geophysics, structural geology, palaeoecology and palaeoclimatology. I have also been involved in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) related research as part of my role within the European Geoscience Union Pride working group.I have worked in Financial Services for over six years, with a strong understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks and impacts on consumers. I have experience managing projects, delivering both improved customer satisfaction and FTE Savings, as well as academic projects. Further, as a small business owner, I have a solid understanding of digital commerce and the provision of digital services in both a B2B and B2C setting.In 2019 I was a regional finalist in the Early Career Geologist Award (Geological Society of London).
