Served as lead HW/SW product manager, consolidating customer feedback research, defining product requirements, developing business case unit economics / ROI model, and fine tuning product feature sets. Lead engineering program manager for accessory and skate products, including coordinating engineering development efforts, setting program schedules and milestones, driving relationships with critical suppliers, and resolving all technical development issues. Supported operations and NPI in vendor assessment and down-selection, cost negotiation, bring-up of new FATP supplier in Singapore, and product launch from concept to MP.

Autopilot and Infotainment Hardware Engineering:Driving team of high-performing mechanical engineers to develop next generation Autopilot and Infotainment hardware for Model S, Model X, Model 3, and future Tesla vehicles. Areas of team hardware ownership include Autopilot car computer, infotainment displays/touch, cameras, speakers, amplifiers, radio tuners, Wifi/BT/LTE/RKE antennas, PCBAs, and thermal management systems.Gigafactory-Panasonic Battery Manufacturing Operations:Supporting the collaboration between Panasonic and Tesla to build up Gigafactory 1 in Reno, NV. Managing the bring-up of new battery cell lines for Model 3 production as Gigafactory construction continues to expand. Collaborate with Panasonic-JP team members, communicating in both English and Japanese, to drive planning efforts, manufacturing process issues, and engineering development.

Organized and led development and collaboration efforts across large cross-functional engineering team for design of 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar / Touch ID and 2017 iPhone X Super Retina Display sensors, while maintaining strict production schedule timeline. Coordinated manufacturing activities with external vendors in Japan and China by regular communication and in-region support at factories in Asia for NPI build execution and technical issue resolution. Managed supply chain demand quantities, vendor production plan coordination, and purchase order processes. Assessed overall program progress and technical risk, while reporting issues and status to Apple top management.

Member of the engineering and design team at Nissan Research Center Silicon Valley. Conducted human-centered research and ethnography of driving and transportation practices for defining autonomous vehicle (AV) interaction behavior in software algorithms. Designed and prototyped future AV ADAS HMI systems. Assisted with AV testing and led process for testing regulation requirements with California DMV. Issued 3 patents as primary inventor for original V2X AV-pedestrian interaction system designs, showcased on Nissan IDS concept car in 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Taught English language and conversation to elementary, junior high, and adult students in rural Japan using self-created interactive lesson plans and cultural exchange activities. Designed original classroom games based on need-finding of students' educational needs and themes of popular interest. Communicated in Japanese with teachers, students, and city officials to perform job activities and deepen relationships.
