About Breyon Williams, Phd

As a Researcher at Mathematica, I apply my PhD in Economics and my analytical skills to design, conduct, and report on evaluation studies of social programs, policies, and interventions. My work focuses primarily on the education and labor sectors, where I use rigorous methods and data sources to assess the effectiveness of various initiatives and outcomes. With over three years of experience in this role, I have developed competencies in data collection and processing, causal and statistical methods, client engagement, and project management. I have led and supported multiple evaluation projects using descriptive, quasi-experimental, and randomized controlled trial designs, involving administrative education data, the National Directory of New Hires database, and other relevant data sets. I have also facilitated 15 1-hour interviews with stakeholders and partners to gather feedback and insights. My mission is to use evidence-based research to inform and improve social policy decision-making and practice.
