As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Hunter Industries I was assigned to the team working to create a new solution for managing thousands of sprinklers at golf courses. We have a flat organization in software development and use Agile practices, TDD & Kanban. The project centered on migrating the capabilities of an old Visual Basic .NET 2.0 application to newer technologies. Portions of the application migrated to .NET 4+ while integrating a Web interface for key capabilities. Our development was done using mob (enhanced pair programming) techniques. The git repository leveraged a fully automated testing and deployment pipeline (CI/CD) for all components.

Hunter practices a team based approach to software development where groups of engineers gather with 72" video monitors and edit code as a team. It's described as "Mob Programming". Seems fun so far.

Responsible for both the corporate and restaurant systems. Oversaw Rubio's transition from a Level-2 PCI vendor to an audited Level-1 PCI compliant vendor. Implemented a Point to Point Encryption (P2Pe) and tokenization solution for all credit card transactions. Completed the roll out of a new Point of Sale System to Rubio's ~190 restaurant locations. Created new custom integrations to allow Rubio's existing business processes to consume the new POS data. In addition implementing changes in core corporate systems relating to office automation, upgrading the Windows Domain, disaster recovery, business continuity while moving to a fully virtualized server environment with cloud based components.
