Functional architect for JDA Transportation Manager, an enterprise application that manages the full transportation planning, execution and financial lifecycle. • Responsible for all requirement definition and internal/external functional specification documents used in the product development process (both writing personally and reviewing work done by business analysts).• Ensured that all enhancements were consistent with the overall product vision and direction. • Acted as the interface between the Product Management and Product Development teams for functional application definition.• Served as an internal consultant to the entire team: business analysts, developers, quality assurance, documentation, product support, sales, technical project leaders and project managers. • Drove the user group product enhancement process: evaluating requests, defining proposed solutions, leading customer review sessions with over 60 attendees. • Interacted with high profile customers: multi-day sessions to discuss product implementation alternatives and to gather requirements, plus follow-up sessions to review proposed design.• Authored release notes and data dictionary and verified content for all functional product documentation.

Led implementations at many of Syntax’s largest clients. Worked both remotely and on-site at client’s facilities. Duties involved analysis, programming, troubleshooting, performance / throughput tuning, training, functional design and technical design.
