With over 10 years of experience in education, mediation, policy and advocacy, community engagement, and strategic planning and management, Khadijah is passionate about centering families in policy making and advancing 2-generation economic mobility.As the National Director of Policy and Advocacy at LIFT, Inc., Khadijah leads the design and implementation of a brand new advocacy and policy growth strategy that aims to influence systemic change and eliminate poverty. Personally, Khadijah’s incredible story of surviving chronic homelessness has been covered by the Oprah Winfrey Show, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Essence Magazine. She is regularly asked to speak to graduate schools, organizations, and with the media, combining her unique lived experience and professional expertise to pose thoughtful questions and propose creative solutions to addressing our most pressing social economic problems.
