As Andrea's experience as and Admission Counselor grew, so did her responsibilities. She took on complex assignments, assigned to her by our Director and Dean, which was on top of her day-to-day responsibilities, travel, and cohort projects. Andrea formed relationships with college counselors, students and parents as she guided them through the admission process. Because of her professionalism and dynamic personality, Andrea was fortunate that many of these relationships continued once students came to Rollins. As a result of all of her dedication and hard work, Andrea was promoted to Assistant Director of Admission. I want to also mention that Andrea was also enrolled in Rollins' Crummer Graduate School of Business as a part-time MBA student while working full-time. As someone who is also a Crummer graduate, I can personally attest to the rigors of this program. She completed her MBA without it ever affecting her work. This takes organization, planning ahead, balance, and "wearing many hats". I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have been a part of the hiring process that brought Andrea to the Office of Admission, and she grew both personally and professionally during her time at Rollins. Andrea did so much for the office (and institution), and in turn the office learned from her.
