As CTO for Factor Technologies was responsible for all cyberspace operations within the company including the development of computer-based financial technology (FinTech) products and services. My primary focus was to harness the power of cyberspace systems to drive innovation and transformation both within the company and projected into the marketplace to exploit disruptive technologies and trends to produce competitive advantage for Factor Technologies.In addition to the operational statement above, was also responsible for the typical CIO, CISO, CTO range of duties Including the following (yeah, canned stuff): - Connecting technology and technology solutions with Factor Technologies strategic plans and business objectives.- All communication systems for the company (including network infrastructure, wide area connectivity, etc.).- Working closely with project managers to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of technology resources.- Supervising and recruiting technology staff.- Ensuring IT operations adhere to local laws.- Ensure the security of the business’ IT assets.- Working closely with other C-level executives to create strategic plans for the business’ future growth.- Establishing the IT department’s operational goals and objectives.- Developing and implementing new technologies.In essence, I was responsible for every facet of the Factor Technologies' IT infrastructure and technology resources and took an operational approach and focus regarding the use of cyberspace and cyberspace systems to achieving the company’s strategic goals.
