I have been an advertising copywriter at department stores like Wanamakers, Gimbels and Clover Stores. For twenty years, I reviewed movies for Audience magazine, both in print and online, as well as Films in Review, methree.com and movie-vault.com.PUBLICATIONSShort Stories published in the U.S., England, Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, South Africa, Japan, and Pakistan.Essays, Movie and Book Reviews published in the Houston Chronicle, Boston Herald, St. Petersburg Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Audience, Films in Review, Examiner and Bestsellers. I have been a tutor at the Center for Literacy since 1998. I have taught reading, writing and English as a second language to men and women from Korea, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Hungary and Jamaica, as well as the U.S. I helped the man from Ivory Coast become an American citizen.I have also tutored students at Germantown high school (with AmeriCorps) and the Lingelbach middle school.Since I've been a professional writer most of my working life, as well as a voracious reader, I am uniquely qualified to tutor reading, writing, creative thinking and English as a second language.Specialties: Movie reviewing.
