The purpose of the Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture team is to bridge the gap between strategy and execution by bringing specialists from disparate technology towers together to develop end to end solutions. Reference architecture standards as well as point solutions are developed using established and emerging technologies to advance the Anthem IT environment and improve the services we deliver in support of business objectives.While other teams are tasked with ensuring the availability and stability of a particular technology area and meeting capacity and demand management needs through deployment of existing standard solutions, this team has been asked to focus on the bigger picture. By including SMEs from the various infrastructure areas on one team, we can leverage their knowledge and expertise to develop end to end solutions across technology towers.By separating EIA from the never-ending stream of daily operational tasks and issues, the EIA team can take time to think about strategy and long-term advancement of capabilities to prepare us for the future.

AEC Management Solutions was a subsidiary of Turner Construction and was formed to provide a highly available hosting environment for the Prolog suite of applications. These applications were used by architects, engineers and consultants to plan and track various construction projects for Turner. As a systems engineer, I supported the Citrix servers, back end SQL databases, web interface servers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Responsibilities included the planning and execution of projects involving new installations of servers or WAN/LAN equipment, system upgrades, and security audits for Oakwood customers. I also assisted sales staff with proposals and client presentations, created technical manuals and project documentation, and provided 2nd level support for customer networks and systems.Some of the many projects that I led included:

The single project I managed while working for Trinity involved the redesign of a customer's help desk.My tasks included:- Developing best practices for new Help Desk procedures- Training customer staff on server administration- Assisting staff with developing support documentation- Managing the daily operation of the customer Help Desk and supervising the work of staff
