Assist residents at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas with any Cable TV, computing, and telephone related issues; oversee colleague PCs and accounts.

-Phone support for technicians & business class customers troubleshooting cable, data, and Digital Phone services remotely.-Assisting business class customers with network troubleshooting (IP address configuration, router configurations, domain name setup, email setup)-Assisting technicians via phone in installation of cable and Digital Phone modems.

-Configuration and installation of Foundry fiber optic switches and Cisco routers. -Communication with customers receiving Time Warner network fiber and T-1 services, including site surveys, scheduling installation dates, troubleshooting fiber and/ or T-1 connections, in addition to hardware related to aforementioned installations. -Coordinating the various stages of the fiber installation, including communication with fiber construction teams, fiber splicing teams, and sales representatives selling fiber and T-1 opportunities. -Updating and completing all databases and paperwork associated with installations.

-Assisting in assessing, designing, monitoring and maintaining network and telecommunications support services & equipment. In particular, supported the large scale rollout of new workstations across the state and the conversion of 40,000+ users from Novell platform to Microsoft NOS platform.-Researching & documenting topology of ODJFS circuits locally & at remote/county sites, verifying such things as DHCP addressing assignments of Microsoft servers and Cisco router equipment and implementing security priorities on network hardware (i.e. setting router access rights lists, etc.). -Conducting site preparations and serving as first point of contact for vendors and state personnel in support of installation and/or maintenance activities. -Establishing & maintaining user connectivity (running network diagnostics apps as needed) and coordinating network activities and LAN/WAN problem resolution with Network Operations Center. -Providing first and second level Help Desk support (including serving rotating duty time at Help Desk Operations Center in order to provide described support).-Independently diagnosing common network hardware problems and effecting solutions.-Installing, testing, repairing & maintaining electronic data processing and/or voice data /telecommunications equipment (e.g., terminals, modems, printers, telephones) & peripheral network materials (e.g., cables, telephone lines, circuit boards, controller, multiplexers).
