I oversaw multiple residential halls and all of the campus apartments to help foster a community and encourage academic success. The committees I led and task forces I held were: student staff training, storage, student leadership, professional development.

I oversaw Moseley Hall, a 350 person new-construction hall with 3 learning communities, and Hull Hall, a 300 person traditional hall. My staff consisted of 16 resident advisors and 1 graduate student who served as a residence director. In my position I also chaired the staff development committee and co-advised our Resident Advisor Association. I also had the opportunity to serve in an on-call rotation that allowed me to problem solve and help students all across campus.

In my first year of graduate school at Texas Tech University I managed a two hall complex, comprised of 1,200 students in the first-year success learning community, with another graduate student and a professional staff member. This was done by directly supervising 9 community advisors by holding them accountable to their job expectations. GLACURH is a regional office for NACURH and presides over five sub-regions: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ontario. I served on the board of directors and provided student leaders with the resources and development to help them and their institution govern their residential-governing bodies.

I advised two separate hall councils. Having two hall councils means I met with my advisor, two halls, two executive boards, and two hall council presidents weekly. This position has gave me the opportunity to work with students and help them develop their leadership skills.

I was United Way of Clare and Gladwin Counties first marketing intern so I really formed what the position would do. I made a marketing plan and started implementing it into our brand. I made a promotional video, publicized/photographed events, and made other promotional tools.

I worked with students to help prepare them for their college experience and provided them with resources to help them excel.

I was a crew member while going to school full-time. This helped with my time management and multitasking skills.
