• Orchestrated a complete re-tool of the organization’s chargemaster resulting in a net revenue pick-up of nearly $2.1M. • Educated accounting staff on how to properly account for pre-paids, accruals and capital purchases resulting in leveling out monthly Income Statements and making them more predictable and actionable. • Identified areas for cost savings in annual vendor contracts and establishing a policy making it mandatory that the Purchasing Department utilize the organization’s purchasing partner as a first option. This resulted in a projected savings of nearly $400k per year. • Implemented a bottom-up budget process involving department managers as primary drivers of their respective departmental budgets and the CFO serves as an advisor, or facilitator generating manager-ownership. This process resulted in improved budget accuracy as well as manager/director engagement and improved morale. • Spearheaded a provider contract review initiative to ensure we were getting the best rates available for the location. This initiative yielded and additional 1% in net revenue annually.

• Lead the COVID-19 era for the hospital ensuring the hospital received all available and applicable funding needed to keep their doors open and continue to provide excellent patient care for the community of Langdon. • Engaged an outside organization to review the hospital’s chargemaster and bring it current. This organization also reviewed charge capture ensuring the hospital billed for any and all services they were entitled to. This initiative yielded approximately $1.75M in additional net revenue. • Worked with department managers on their financial responsibilities and seeking out cost-savings opportunities yielding nearly, $750k in annual operating cost savings. • Worked with hospital leadership to bring in 3 new service lines I recommended ultimately bringing an additional $5.3M in net revenue.
