I am a creative senior scientist with exceptional insights in synthetic organic chemistry directed toward discovery and process research with extensive experience in medicinal chemistry and plastics additives research. My research experience in both academic and industrial settings includes accomplishments in:• Planning, executing and optimizing multi-step synthetic sequences with success most recently in the synthesis of a Milliken flagship plastic additive.• Solving complex structure determination problems using a full range of spectroscopic methods, particularly modern two-dimensional NMR techniques and chemical procedures. My core value is scientific integrity. I believe in penetrating to the true, underlying causes involved in a scientific problem to create a research product that supports sound decision making and provides accurate information to the scientific community.I am very aware of the outstanding opportunities that I have had to learn from men and women who were leaders in teaching and research.
