Videographer
Current- Communicate proactively with operations managers and technicians about any equipment maintenance, safety concerns or replacement needs to ensure good working order- Capture compelling video, including B-Roll and interviews, in collaboration with reporters, producers, and the web team- Edit all video (including Zoom interviews, police body camera footage, etc.) along with reporter voice tracks to complete packages and VO/SOTS while adhering to tight deadlines- Maintain and operate all equipment used in the field (including camera and lights) as well as company vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety while on assignment- Understand union protocols and management workflow to complete assignments- Served as group representative, nominated by my peers, during union negotiations to advocate for photographer needs and professional development- Utilize Bit-Central, Tons, Latakoo and ENPS regularly to identify and source archive video (for past reporter scripts) and for follow up on stories- Equip various shooting styles based on content needs including breaking news, live shots, feature stories, and various sporting events- Shoot video from the Fox 8 helicopter SKYFOX while collaborating with the pilot about any flight restrictions, maintenance, or other considerations while obtaining footage
