About William Zouzas

My objective is to improve the health, well-being, and task performance of healthcare professionals by studying their interactions with medical systems, devices, and robotics. While pursuing my master’s degree, I’ve completed projects assessing the impact of siren noise and distractions on EMTs through a driving simulator. I also completed a project designing a novel implant and filed a provisional patent application through Northeastern’s Center for Research Innovation (CRI). I am an Industrial Engineering Ph.D. student at Purdue University conducting research in the Healthcare Ergonomics Analytics Lab (HEAL). I am excited to combine my multidisciplinary background in Biomedical Engineering and Human Factors Engineering and experiences in both academia and industry to collaborate with healthcare professionals to design ergonomic solutions to address their unmet clinical needs.
