Developing a platform for WTI's clients to allow for searching and analyzing information related to new technologies. The system was built on a LAMP architecture making use of the Zend Framework and Doctrine ORM.

Client - Curian Capital (Jackson National Life)• Key member of team that led the integration of a large, client asset management and high-volume trading application. The system utilizes various technologies including EJBs, JSPs, Perl, shell scripts, and stored procedures on WebLogic Server in an AIX environment.• Worked on significant modifications to a Java based batch-processing system to fulfill specific client and SEC/NASDAQ regulatory requirements. This involved high profile code changes that were required to allow the client to approach additional revenue sources.• Primary point of contact for key components of the system architecture within the orders processing and reporting subsystems including leading development of system upgrades consisting of rewriting the ACT regulatory reporting system, upgrading from WebLogic 5.1 to 8.1, implementing an archiving process to increase daily order flow throughput, and responding to regulatory changes.

Client - Transportation Security Administration• Key developer on a small team that designed, implemented, and maintained a high visibility metric gathering and performance reporting system. The system included an ASP-based web interface and extensive use of SQLServer stored procedures for reporting and metric collection.• Developed a PocketPC-based application for metric collection utilizing a local SQLServer CE database and an ActiveSync connection to push data to staging tables on a central server.Client - Real Estate Assessment Center (HUD)• Worked with a team that designed and developed a lead-based paint inspection scheduling, tracking, and invoicing system. This 5-tier J2EE system included a Model-View-Controller implementation using Jakarta Struts, a JDO Java-to-Database mapping using XML, and a custom-built framework for scheduling, workflow, and user notification. This system was built using Apache Tomcat and deployed on an iPlanet app server using a Sybase database.

• Designed, implemented, and maintained a middle-tier application and batch processing system that handled thousands of brokerage transactions a day. Co-designed, implemented, documented and tested a new infrastructure for a processing pipeline, implemented with JMS, EJB, and JDBC technologies in a WebLogic application server environment. Migration to new infrastructure resulted in remarkable performance increases and significant scalability improvements over previous architecture.• Enhanced numerous internal Brokerage Operations Trading JSP GUIs and application server EJBs to streamline Brokerage Operations duties and greatly enrich user experience and productivity.• Supported orders processing and trading system during market hours and ensured maximum uptime for order placement functionality for FOLIOfn’s 24 hour/7 days a week online brokerage website.• Re-factored numerous existing components to improve performance, reliability, ease-of-maintenance and unit test coverage.
