As a Research Assistant with the Research on Food and Farming for All (ROFFA) project I was responsible for conducting a year long qualitative field research regarding the local food and farming systems of three counties (i.e. Halifax, Edgecombe, Nash) in eastern North Carolina. Research methods used during this study included semi-structured interviews, participant observation, as well as, analysis of primary and supplemental data using Atlas-ti data analysis software. The results of this study are to be published as a full-length text in 2013.
