After working in the mechatronics field for a few years, I decided to go for something new. Something I have always wanted to do, but never really considered it as a career. Aviation has really opened new doors and presented new opportunities and experiences. I have not completely left behind my previous life, as I still enjoy doing the odd programming project or some freelance work as a mechatronic technologist.Never will I be happy with what knowledge I have. I am always researching new areas or ideas. Inquisitive and curious, I like new challenges and the reward you receive from completing them. I will not easily give up when I am experiencing a tough obstacle. Easily adaptive to new experiences and I am not afraid to change. In fact, I embrace it. Expat work has always intrigued me. I have no trouble with working anywhere in the world, as I would love to see more of our beautiful Earth and all that she has to offer.Studying Mechatronics has given me the ability to design, build and commission a machine that has all or a few electronic, mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic and control elements. From the concept stage, to the design stage using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor, building and manufacturing the design using manual or CNC milling machines or lathes and finally commissioning the product accompanied with the appropriate documentation.
