Willie Williams is a Sr. Business Development Manager-MSP SaaS Security Services at VMware - retired. Colleagues describe them as "I haven't known Willie for very long but in the short time that we have been acquainted Willie was a lifesaver! For a project that I was supporting I was in need of some software licenses. My organization opted to thoroughly review the costs and determine if there were additional discounts we could obtain for the SW package before approving this item for procurement as we neared a deadline for expiration of trial licenses that our SW procurement package would be replacing. We approved and released the PO with adequate time against our standard business cycles, but in a fantastic materialization of Murphy's law the PO "was lost in the mail" somewhere between our system and Optiv. We grew concerned when on the Friday before the expiration of the trial licenses the following Tuesday we hadn't heard back. In a frenzy my team gave me the contact information for Willie who confirmed that Optiv hadn't received a copy of the PO but if I was able to get it to him, he would handle it, and he sure did! Willie was in regular contact with me late Friday afternoon until we received the license keys on Monday morning - disaster averted! Willie is a "make things happen" king of guy and I hope that our paths cross again, until then he has my recommendation :)", "I worked under Willie while at Verizon Wireless. He is a great leader, mentor and friend. He taught me to sell outside of the norm. Establish CXO level relationships and not to just 'chase' new lines, but to strengthen the relationship with the client. He taught me how to think strategically in the enterprise space and I am very appreciative of that.
