Along with many other tasks, I collaborate with an award-winning task group to lead the Quality Assurance function across all units on the station, encompassing airfield operations and engineering/logistics squadrons of A4 elements. I am tasked with identifying areas for collaboration to enhance operational performance, whilst increasing engagement across the team. One of my key assignments in this role is to conduct compliance and thematic audits to pinpoint systemic management deficiencies that violate mandated H&S responsibilities and guidelines. My top achievements within this role are the following:· Increased participation from auditees and provided more comprehensive coverage of work areas and ISO clauses by revamping and enhancing the audit program through the transition from checklists to coaching in freeform auditing methods.· Prevented potential harm to both military and civilian staff by taking immediate steps to repurpose training facilities following structural issues.· Facilitated successful implementation of SSOW at RAF Wittering and Marham and Waddington by securing funding, upgrading fail-safe procedures, and implementing updated policies. · Improved TRIAGE and War Rooms to provide targeted problem-solving forums to further challenge managers, drive solutions, and resolve business issues.· Implemented 6s methodology in three departments to improve efficiency and organisation. · Established compulsory onboarding and evaluation processes for contractors' skills and risk evaluations.
