I served as an Assistant State Attorney from 1997 to 2007, leaving as an Advanced Sex Crimes Prosecutor. From 2008 until March 2011, I served as an Associate with Carsten & Ladan, P.A., practicing criminal defense. After my first attempt in 2009, I became Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law. In March, 2011, I returned to the State Attorney's Office as a Career Criminal Lead Trial Attorney, and on August 1, 2011, I was promoted to the Homicide Division. In January 2013, I became the interim County Court Bureau Chief, and in July 2013, I became a Trial Unit Director. In February 2016, I returned to prosecuting homicides and other major crimes.Specialties: Criminal Prosecution
