I have worked for my family business during summers and vacations since High School. While working for the funeral home I have learned how to interact people who are going through the worst and most difficult moments in their lives. I also learned a lot about logistics, whether it be preparing service spaces in a timely manner, or transporting materials to the needed locations, there was always constant movement and adaptation to the specific situation.

This job allowed me to grow a lot as a team member and a leader. I worked on a commuter boat and on a whale watch boat. The job required the ability to multi-task constantly. Our top priority was the safety of ourselves and the passengers. We practiced different security drills daily to ensure the safety our passengers and other boaters in our vicinity. During the summer of 2021 I was promoted to first mate and was in charge of leading safety drills and teaching the drills to new deckhands. This job also provided me endless opportunities to communicate and assist with customers and their needs. Working on the water was a lot of fun and provided me with great opportunities to grow as a person.
