Graduated from Radford University in the of Spring 2023 with a degree in Computer Science. I specialized in the Secure Coding program while studying.I worked in banking for years and participated in several projects which allowed me to log hours towards the Project Management Professional certification. I am eager to circle back to that pursuit. During my time in banking, I participated in a workshop hosted by PMI. Then was fortunate to have my company sponsor my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification as well.I secured an internship in June of 2021 with 1901 Group in the Quality Assurance department. In that role I was very excited to find that I have a deep interest in the software testing process. I wrote automated tests using Selenium and Java. While working in that environment I have had a rich opportunity to see how an agile team functions to move projects from design to reality.While interning on the team for several years, it has reignited my passion for quality assurance and project management. I have really been able to leverage my experience from banking within this new field. In addition to writing automated regression tests for a suite of web-based-applications, my other responsibilities included reviewing the overnight builds, writing hot fixes, and sending out the morning reporting.
