My internship experience at Target has given me a total overview of the company and importance of each department in running a successful store, however I have mostly focused on the Sales Floor and Human Resource departments. As ETL Sales Floor intern I was tasked with leading a team of over 80 to increase sales and ensure the store met Target brand requirements. This includes cleanliness, being fully stocked, having accurate signing, and making sure all team members were engaging guests and providing a great shopping experience.As ETL HR intern I have gotten to play a large role in our hiring process, particularly during the holiday season. I have conducted interviews, made hiring decisions, made job offers, and given orientation. I also work to make sure our team members are happy and productive, and help to solve any issues around pay or scheduling.

As a cashier at Big Y I was in charge of handling large money orders, dealing with the public, and providing excellent customer service. I have also trained several employees at both the positions of cashier and service clerk.

I helped plan and run events for over 60 interns in the downtown Chicago area. I worked to expand the number of activities available to participants, most notably on the weekends. I also assisted interns throughout the summer in multiple areas including; problems at work, adjusting to city life, and interaction with other participants in the program.

I took on many different roles for the Armor, most notably in fan experience, in-game promotions, sales, and operating the coach's camera. I was part of a team that constantly ran on a tight schedule that required flexibility as game times were unpredictable.
