About Will Mari

I'm a media/tech historian, journalism-studies and communication-studies researcher, educator and freelance journalist moving at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication. I served as a public-affairs officer in the Navy Reserve, honorably finishing seven years of active and one year of inactive service. I’m thus experienced with textual analysis, semi-structured interviewing, archival research and other forms of qualitative and mixed-methods analysis. I remain familiar with public affairs, including civilian-government and military-government public affairs and public relations. I also have experience leading public-affairs teams, completing open-ended research for government and military clients and organizing mission-focused teams under high-stress conditions. I'd love to hear from you directly -- please feel free to email me at my work address at wmari1@lsu.edu, at my personal address, wtmari@gmail.com, message me here, or follow me on twitter @willthewordguy.
