Formerly he worked in an M&A and VC niche practice in Paris, France and participated in some of Europe’s largest deals in the relevant industry sectors at the time.He is Co-Chair of the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Sub-Committee of the American Bar Association; and advises a number of US, French and UK private equity and VC funds.Clients include national and international Private Equity funds; growth companies; software unicorns; and listed multinationals.In addition to transactional work, Will has been heavily involved in formulating industry best-practice for corporate finance and knowledge transfer (through a variety of discussion forums and industry think-tanks). He was the driver behind a two-year project examining knowledge transfer policies and practices in the UK, US and Canada, which has formed the basis for advising a number of institutions and influenced policy-making.Will also has experience within the energy sector including VC/private equity and M&A deals involving renewables and oil and gas, ranging from production to onshore and offshore supply chain and engineering companies to hydro, wind, biomass, fuel cells and even biosensors for use in the industry. Will leads the International activities at Brodies LLP and continues to have considerable involvement in cross-border work with France, the US and further afield.
