Singer: I love bringing songs to life, whether they are from the Great American Songbook, recent pop classics, or original compositions. I have performed with pops orchestras, in clubs with a band, in people's home with a pianist, around campfires with a ukulele, and as a cast member in musical theater productions.I especially love to sing at important rites of passage such as weddings, birthdays and memorial services.Songwriter: I compose my own songs using Garageband/Logic and have worked as a lyricist with composers Steve Sweeting and Jonathan Keezing.Producer: I have produced countless performances, open mikes, and master classes. I have also helped produce recordings for singer/songwriter Lynn Fischer, for the vocal harmony group "At The Movies," with singer Bobbi Carrey, and with guitarist/songwriter/composer Jonathan Keezing. Song interpretation coach: I periodically offer "Living Room Labs" with pianist/composer Doug Hammer to help singers explore different ways one can breath life into a song.

My responsibilities grew over sixteen years to include events management, public relations, and development.As Director of Marketing & Special Events (January 2012 – October 2012) I• Oversaw the daily updating of CCAE’s web site, created marketing materials, planned zip code-specific mailings• Planned and ran gatherings including art exhibit receptions, readings, talks, panels, and cultivation events• Got stories about CCAE programs and events in the Boston Globe, Phoenix, Herald, and on WBUR as well as WCVB-TVAs Assistant Director (February 2006 – December 2011) I• Collaborated with board members on fundraising, benefit events, cultivation gatherings, and new program ideas• Co-produced CCAE’s biennial fundraiser, “Of Course!” which netted more than $60,000 for CCAE’s annual budget• Helped brainstorm and run the first two years of CCAE’s innovative Community Supported Art program• Shared daily doses of very dark chocolate bars with fellow staff members during periods of deadline and stressAs Public Relations and Development Director (September 2004 – January 2006) I• Oversaw and implemented annual fund program as well as Blacksmith Poetry, Studio School and other “ask” mailings • Brainstormed and coordinated special classes and events, including CCAE’s annual “Arts & The Media” conference• Handwrote many, many thank you letters to donors, sponsors and media alliesPublic Relations Director, CCAE August 2000 – August 2004• Made sure CCAE classes and events were written about and listed in local media (press, TV, radio, web sites)• Oversaw and ran CCAE’s Cabaret Connection program of master classes, performances and open micsAs Events Manager (September 1996 – July 2000) I• Helped with PR outreach, welcomed performers, ran sound/lights during performances, cleaned up afterwards, and happily worked many more hours than I was paid.
