Will Murdock wrote his first play over the course of four weeks in his high school Pre-Calculus class—it premiered in Colquitt, Ga two months later. His pursuit of storytelling was cemented there in Cotton Hall Theater.Cotton Hall would be home to seven of Will's directorial ventures including Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz, and James and the Giant Peach. Will penned the 20th Anniversary script for of Swamp Gravy, Georgia's Official Folk-Life Play. Swamp Gravy combines true stories gathered from community members with locally written music to create a performance piece designed for upwards of sixty to ninety cast members. He aspires to tell stories through the work he pursues after college.
