Will was seconded to one of the largest financial services organisations in the UK as Head of Cyber Security. He reported directly to the Chief Security and Resilience Officer and was responsible for a team of 120 people. He was accountable for the majority of first-line cyber security controls, and remediating issues and driving continuous improvement across these. He developed and implemented a new, intelligence-led vulnerability management strategy, and a refresh of the ransomware preparedness approach. He also implemented new processes for managing and coordinating the response to cyber security incidents, and drove the remediation of operational resilience datapoints across cyber security areas. Will oversaw the response to security incidents, and to emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
